In France, registering the death is mandatory within 24 hours, followed by the burial or cremation within six days of the individual's passing (excluding Sundays and Public Holidays). This remarkably swift turnaround contrasts with the more extended timeframe typically observed in the UK. The pace at which decisions must be made and arrangements organized may seem rather alarming in comparison.
